I am directed by Mr. Secretary

Harcourt to inform you that, subject to

your being passed by the Medical Adviser

of this Department as physically fit for

service he proposes to select you for

probationery appointment as a Junior

Assistant Master in the service of the

Government of Hong Kong with salary at

the rate of £300 a year.

2. Your salary will be paid in

the local currency in the manner shewn

in the last paragraph of the accompany-

ing print (Eastern No. 121).

3. You may be required to teach

in any of the Government Schools in the

Colony; and, subject to the permission
